The initial consultation
Your initial consultation and treatment will take about an hour, and cover a range of questions about your health and life. It may be useful to bring with you any current prescriptions or medical reports.
You will get an explanation of your condition from a Chinese medical viewpoint, and how you can expect acupuncture to help you. There may be diet, lifestyle and exercise advice to help you feel better more quickly.
If you decide to come for a course of acupuncture, I will let you know how many treatments you will need and how often you should come. Treatments are usually once or twice a week to start with, decreasing as you improve.
